Customer reviewsElectricity on the go
This item really is electricity on the go. We took it camping in our trailer this past week end and used it to power our 110v lights, recharge our phones, recharge and operate our computer. It is pure sine wave so the computer is safe. It showed a full charge when we left and was only down to 40 when we got home. Still had lots of power remaining. Once home we recharged the unit and played with it around the house. We powered a vintage, power hungry, fan and it worked just fine. Then we powered our 50 flat screen television for a couple hours. No problems at all. I did try to overload it with an electric drill and while it would not power it 750 watts it did try to and did make it actually spin. It is a 250 watt unit and that is one thing one must keep in mind when using. Light bulbs are rated in watts but most item are rated in amps. Simple method of finding watts for a given item is to multiply amps time volts. Amps x Volts Watts. It has a single 110v 60htz outlet. 3 12v outlets rated, this time in amps, and they are 4 amps max. And 2 USB outlets rated, again in amps, at 3.1 amp max. Measures in at 11 x 5 x 4 and weighs about 4 lbs. It does have a lithium battery but really isn t too heavy to carry around. The handle is a rubber material and is spring loaded to retract. Recharging can be done in a number of ways. Plug it into your 110v outlet in home, power recharge brick and cords included. Plug it into your cars 12v cigar lighter outlet, plug and cord are also included. Lastly you can charge with a solar panel, unfortunately, this is not an included item but I guess the price would be too high if it was. Amazon sells a number of them that will work though. I plan of purchasing one myself. To monitor state of charge there are 5 blue LEDs that indicate how much power is left. 20 40 60 80 100 . In the end I must say that I like this power station. It will allow us to camp and recharge power without running a noisy and smelly generator. Always wanted one and glad I purchased. Oh, and kudos to Amazon for one day free delivery...
