I needed a stand that was at least 17" deep to hold my receiver. This works beautifully. It sits on the 3rd shelf. The cable hiders actually work first time I bothered using that sort of thing . It's a little heavier that I thought it would be, but it's not like I intend to move it often, and it's not too heavy to move if I wanted to. I have the tv mounted on the wall, and this fits under it nicely. And it looks good too.
