and a useful angled toolAfter hours of researching different vacs, I finally decided on the Rigid 4000RV 4 gallon, 5 horsepower wet dry vacuum. I needed something powerful, but didn t care about a large capacity and this fit the bill perfectly. There is a similar orange unit available for a lower cost, but I decided on this because it comes with an upgraded hose, a muffler diffuser, and a useful angled tool. The intended use of this was for vehicle interiors and it is very effective. I ve even used it as an extractor when shampooing the seats and carpet using a separately purchased claw attachment , although it s not as effective as tool made for specifically for this. It made quick work of a broken bottle of soy sauce on the tile floor. With two tube extensions and a swivel floor brush head, I can clean my tile and hardwood floors prior to mopping, as well as making quick work of the garage floor. Needles too say, the brooms around my house are gathering spiderwebs, which I can easily suck up with my Rigid vac. For those wondering about the muffler diffuser, it does muffle slightly, but it s main job is to diffuse the hurricane coming out of the exhaust so its spread 360 degrees and won t blow your house down. The noise level is pretty high, but I use ear protection so it s not a big deal. Going back to the exhaust, you can plug the hose in place of the diffuser, and now you have a powerful blower. This thing is sweet I didn t even know I was buying a blower too I use it to blow water out of the door handles jambs, fuel filler, etc. after washing drying my car. It also does a great job blowing grass off the sidewalk and keeping the porch clean extension cord needed . There are so many different attachments available, you can do a ton of jobs with this little guy. The filter is super easy to pop off to clean and pop back on again. The color scheme looks very nice, too. A parts list is included, which gives confidence that if anything breaks, it can be replaced. That, along with the limited lifetime warranty, makes this an awesome buy in my opinion. Heck, even the wife wants to use it all the time.
