The PORTER-CABLE PCE700 14 Chop Saw features a 15 Amp, 3,800 RPM motor with replaceable brushes which provides power and durability. The quick-release material clamp allows for easy material cutting and removal, and a cutting fence with miter adjustment allows up to 45 degree angles to be cut. It offers a spark deflector that provides safety and clear line of sight for cutting, along with a heavy duty steel base to provide stability while cutting. Tonka: Not square but looks pretty

Porter Cable isn t my favorite company for tools but I generally see quality with them, that took a hit when I bought this thing. Several problems, the first and worse is that the back fence is not square You can set it at 90 degrees all you want but that is not a perfect cut. I had to use a square to find the true 90 which is about 3-4 degrees off. Number two, the motor will smoke excessive on longer cuts and I am sure being only a few months old, it isn t long for this world. I seen cheap, harbor freight cutters do a better job. Third, the fence flexes -just- a little and smaller items can jump out of the clamp, causing damage to the blade, you, the dog, deck, the car, Earth, ect. Just mind you will need a riot shield if you re using this thing cause it may come up and try to hit you. I just wished they spent less time making it look pretty and more time making it work. The only thing I can say good about it so far is that it is a light machine for a abrasive, chop saw.
