Customer reviewsThis saw is a beast
Bought this saw as a gift for my son after looking at many machines. I own a radial arm saw and decided to make him a cabinet for it to sit on. Do to health reasons my project took longer than I would have liked and being so wrapped up in finishing the cabinet I never even plugged in the saw. About two and a half months had passed and I finally finished. I was a little worried that I had never even tried the machine and waiting so long if there were a problem I would not be able to return it. I plugged it in and took several pieces of wood and checked all the presets and it was dead on everywhere The saw glides effortlessly as does the table itself. The detents lock in with absolutely no play in either direction. I did not have big hopes for the lazer guide as they are almost all pretty much worthless but this one is perfect Even the dust collection is not too bad due to the flexible rubber boot. The one thing I would have liked to see is a little better depth stop which seems to be the same problem with a lot of these machines. Although this one is not that bad I would have liked it to have a longer casting where the set screw comes into contact. Evidently as some people have said they have done away with some of the detents for compound moulding and I can see where that could be a problem for some professionals who do trim work. But if you are looking for a truly quality piece of machinery then I don t think you can go wrong with this one This saw is a beast It s big and it s heavy but myself that s what I expect from a machine of this caliber. My son is new to woodworking and as I told him this is a serious machine and if your also new to the craft you have to give this saw a lot of respect as this is definitely not a toy But if you are cautious and respectful of this saw it should give you many years of enjoyment in which you should not have to trade up.
