Frankie: Awesome saw, may be refurbished

There are other listings for this same model XSS02Z but at about 25. more, which are a new Makita product. Mine, purchased from this listing, arrived packed only in a clear plastic bag that also contained the new blade, instructions and the cutting guide device all were inside a shipping box with inadequate bubble wrap around it but arrived OK . There was no warranty card or any other Makita packaging. Yet another listing for this same model at nearly the same price in the low 90s is noted as a renewed product and I suspect this one is refurbished or whatever they call it now as well. It did look new upon arrival otherwise. I m happy with how it performs in a day or two of use, other reviews are correct that this is an excellent tool if you already have the batteries from your other Makita 18V tools. Lightweight, relatively quiet and no cord getting in the way.
