Sands well, but not quite up to it s corded big brother.I bought this because we were working on a painting project which had me moving up and down several levels 4 of scaffolding, sanding wood siding and window sills, and I was tired of fighting the cord. This works great with a full 5 AH battery for maybe an hour, then it starts to fall off. The only reason I didn t give 5 stars is it isn t as powerful as the corded model, and thus sands a bit slower. It has 3 speeds, however for what we re doing, I only used it on the highest. I feel the trade off to not have the cord is worth it in an application like this.
