Up to par with the thousand-dollar pro sandersSo far so good. Got this drywall sander for my hubby for Christmas since we re amidst a major renovation restoration undertaking with our 120 year old farmhouse for the last 3 years, and a couple more to go We borrowed a friend s 1500 pro sander a while ago and it was a godsend but we couldn t keep borrowing it so often as we have a couple more thousand square feet of drywall to go But I can t justify buying such an expensive tool, as great as it was, just because I can t stand dealing with all that dust from doing it by hand. So after quite a bit of research, it came down to picking this one, which had all the bells whistles that most others in the same price range had, because it was the lightest one, in weight, that I found here on amazon. It was risky since this brand had NO reviews But I took the risk and am glad I did because this puppy works like a charm So far my husband s used it for 3 coats on around 400 square feet of wall space and the ceilings above. The dust is quite minimal... there is some but my guess is the vacuum captures over 90 . .. which is about the same as our friend s expensive one. So save yourself some money and get this sander. Even if it craps-out there s no indication it will any time soon we ll have gotten our money s worth
